St. Mary's County Tobacco
Production, 1990-1999

St. Mary's County tobacco production levels
peaked at more than 5 and a half million pounds in 1997. In 1999, St.
Mary's and Prince George's tobacco farmers were the only ones in the state to produce more
tobacco than they did in 1990.
