Francis Warring is the warehouse floor manager. He's been working here
for 28 years - since he was
13. Here's what his day is like: As the tobacco companies
bid on the bails of tobacco, the offer is written on a tag. If the farmer isn't willing
to sell for that price, he bends the corner of the tag down. Warring then inspects the tobacco
to see if it could be sold for more money. If so, he acts on behalf of the warehouse to
purchase the tobacco so that it can be sold later at a higher price.
