Parking spaces in front of the diner
are reserved for vintage cars, leaving customers with window seats looking
out onto a different era.
The cruise-in attracts 20 to 30 cars on average every Tuesday
from May to October and runs from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
The Silver Diner provides the perfect backdrop for the cars. Designed
to look like the diners of the '50s, the hot rods parked out front look more
realistic than the modern cars relegated to parking behind the diner.
The
diner has been holding cruise-ins for several years, recently adding a live
band to the outdoor exhibition.
