Aug. 18, 2005, in Samarra, Iraq,
with three other soldiers from the 3rd Infantry Division during a mine-assessing mission.
A homemade explosive device detonated remotely near
the Humvee they were riding in, according to a Defense
Department statement. Doyle was born in Indianapolis but moved
to Maryland's Eastern Shore in 1998, said his sister, Cammie
Doyle. He entered the Army in August 1999 and arrived at Fort
Stewart, Ga., in February 2002, officials there said. |
